How do I book my session?
Kindly complete the contact form to address all your photography wants/needs. Provide details such as your availability (dates and times), location, and the type of shoot you're interested in. If you're unsure about the duration needed, no problem! We'll discuss the process and outline everything necessary for your desired outcome and budget. Feel free to inquire about locations, outfit suggestions, and any other questions you may have. I aim to respond within 24 hours.
Investment
You can find all my prices conveniently listed under the "investment" tab, and I assure you they're transparent – no tricks or gimmicks! To secure your date and time, I request a 50% non-refundable booking deposit along with a signed contract. I accept payments in cash, checks, Zelle, Apple Pay, or Venmo, with the remaining balance due on the day of your session.
For weddings, the remaining investment is due seven days before your wedding date. Custom pricing and packages are available for weddings, so feel free to inquire! All weddings with a duration of 8 hours or more come with a complimentary 45-minute engagement session. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to collaborate before the big day, ensuring a stress-free and delightful wedding experience without any surprises!
Turnaround Time + Rescheduling
All my photography sessions come complete with unlimited high-resolution edited digital images and full copy/print rights. I firmly believe in providing you with the entirety of your captured moments, eliminating the need to pick and choose favorites. Your downloadable online album will showcase a blend of black and white as well as vibrant color photos.
Turnaround Time: Expect your edited engagement, family, or portrait session images within 7-10 business days. For wedding turnaround time, please refer to the details on the "Investment" page. Rest assured, you'll receive sneak peeks within 24-48 hours of your wedding day.
Rescheduling: Weather can be unpredictable! If conditions aren't favorable, we'll easily reschedule for another date. In case of illness or emergencies on my end, I'll promptly reschedule and offer a 25% discount on your current booking. Please note that canceling or rescheduling on your part, unfortunately, means the deposit is non-refundable.
What is your shooting style?
Each of my images is infused with warmth, carefully tailored to reflect the uniqueness of each individual. No two sessions are identical! We'll engage in a conversation about your preferences, and while I have a repertoire of poses, I encourage you to let your true self shine. Approximately 25% of my shots are posed, with the remaining 75% capturing those authentic, organic moments. If you have specific poses in mind, feel free to bring them along – we'll bring your vision to life!
For those new to professional shoots, no need to fret. I'll provide guidance through the poses, ensuring you feel at ease and comfortable throughout the session.
Wondering if I only shoot outdoors? As a natural light photographer, I don't lug around artificial lighting. However, for weddings running late, I might occasionally use a flash. My primary setting is outdoors or venues with ample natural light, including those blessed with plenty of windows.
What should I wear?
Priority is your comfort, so feel free to wear what makes you feel at ease! If you're more comfortable in sandals, bring them along for a quick swap. I can share some inspiration from Pinterest or offer a few ideas tailored to your preferences. Opting for neutrals and incorporating various textures tends to yield the best results!
Do you travel?
Yes! For locations 40 miles out of Columbus, there will be a traveling fee added based on distance.
What happens if your equipment gets damaged?
No need to stress! All my cameras come equipped with built-in wifi, and your images are instantly uploaded to the cloud as I capture them. In the rare event of any mishap, rest assured that your photos are securely stored and backed up on my laptop at home.
Wedding FAQS
What's part of my package deal? It covers an initial wedding chat, a handy wedding questionnaire, an engagement session (included in 8+ hr packages), travel time, shooting time, editing, and an online gallery with print/copy rights. I'm also just a text/email away whenever you've got questions along the way.
Excited or anxious about the wedding consultation? It's a chance for us to connect, chat about your story, what you're envisioning, and to see if we click! The wedding consult is thrown in to tackle your vision, go over your wedding timeline, and discuss your expectations. I'm here to ease any wedding planning jitters, and I've got a list of local vendors if you need suggestions!
Will I need a second photographer? I recommend booking one for weddings larger than 200 or longer than 8 hours. You can add an extra photographer to your package for $650. If you're after different photo vibes, I also team up with other talented photographers so you get an awesome mix of both!
How long do you need to book me? Let's hash that out during our initial chat! It all depends on your ceremony type, reception plans, whether you're doing a send-off, and more. Every package is completely customizable.
Changing up the venue or start time? No worries! Once I lock in a wedding, I'm yours for the whole day, no matter how long it is. Starting earlier or later? Just give me a shout at least 14 days beforehand so I can get things in order. If your new spot is a bit of a drive (more than 40 miles) from Columbus, we might need to talk about a small travel fee.
For a smooth experience, I do suggest going unplugged for the ceremony.
